The Calendar Clock

This is the first time I had seen a clock's plate with 31 numbers. Take the initiative to learn more of this Spanish artifact as seen in Intramuros Philippines. The 31 numbers represent the days of the month, it automatically changed in its course of rotation based on the day of the month like the 28th, 30th and 31st. For the antique collectors, the interest will take the chance of obtaining a unique calendar clock with 31 numbers in the outermost part of the plate.

My Dummy Buddy

In every child around the globe, they used to have stuff toy on their side. The famous teddy bear is their possession at times of like having their gee-gee. Living in my placement Kurgan Teppa, I had my gee-gee at my side. I got it from the seminar conducted by Operation Mercy in Dushanbe last 2nd week of August 2010. It is a dummy that served as a tool for demonstrations of proper execution of rehabilitation care to people with disabilities. Eventually, the rug doll became my buddy. Living alone in my flat, it is inevitable not to talk to this doll. I call him “jamshed” or junior. I took the picture of him and I left in my placement to be used by them.

Stress Management: Create Your Craft in Lego

We have a lot of ways to vent out all the stress we are going through our lives. Some people will read books, go around the mall, chat with close friends, surf the internet, work out in the gym and so forth. Whatever the activities you are into, the goal is to ease up the tension lingered in your spine.

Some instances, there is no way the resources are available. The statement made me resort to another way of relieving the stress from work. When I worked in one of the American company in China last 2007, I used to buy lego toys in boxes. It is worth to have 10 RMB per box, spreading the lego on the floor and find time to assemble into tangible figures. At the end of my contract in that company, the lego forms into a police station.

Souvenir: Key Chain Collector

People had this passion, to collect things. Some used to collect miniature cars, anime toys, dolls, figurines, Santa Claus, etc. I tried to collect stamps too. But then, I shifted to be more interesting that is, to collect key chains. These key chains had been collected from different close friends of mine, lives either overseas or local here in the Philippines.

Souvenir: Rug Doll

One month prior to my departure back to Philippines on 14th of August 2011. It was a tradition to brought something from the place you've been to. So I decided to go around the Capital: Dushanbe. I personally survey every boutiques in town. Checking souvenirs, I can't find a unique token to bring with me and packed in my luggage. Finally, I have found what I'm seeking for. A doll couple, the dolls were wearing traditional clothes for men and women in Tajikistan.
