The Official Room for Meditation

The people find their own sanctuary to obtain a peaceful environment. The ideal silence echoed in four corners of the room make the universe to imbibe the sentiments of life. The hot spot for inner peace of meditation, resolving any puzzles that will satisfy self-less act in Tajikistan.

I had created my own world in this room. The books, pens, papers and a note book are my loyal allies to form brilliant ideas. The ideas that made things happen, a great job that no one even thinks of. A simple tap of my shoulder gave the courage of continuing of what I’ve started.

There is no feeling of isolation, the moment of being alone with my Jamshed dummy doll at my side, a life with full of unexpected contentment. The no face doll works with its facial expression based on my own mood in a daily basis, that’s the power of imagination. Embracing the commitment to validate ought to make a change.

The simple adhesions, sticking the brochures on the wall serves a perfect design. It is a perfect design with no need of having final touch. The decision trees with appropriate strategic procedures to carry-on my responsibilities. The moment of truth is no turning back, the will to move forward.

The silence of this room made possible for the deeper thoughts to materialize with pride, the dedication to impart the essential skills needed for the local people of Kurgan Teppa.

The Tea House in Tajikistan

If you don’t want to host for tea party and no chance for having the all the preparations, then this is the best time to have something on the table. Then there is no need to get into rush decision of declining the moment with friends. The Tea House is the place you can invite the peers, it is located along the road in Rudaki Dushanbe. The ambiance is so great to explore and you can never feel lost when your there. The structure of the building is crafted with tiles transforming into an art.

Along side of the building there are some items that you can grab as a souvenir, the great paintings are hanged on the wall. I can still remember having some stuff here prior to my departure back to the Philippines. If you cannot find anything that will suit to your taste, then you just have a few distances across the road. Some of the establishment offers the same souvenir items and small shops that might be interesting to purchase.

The structure of the building is crafted with elegant raw materials, the shades of color is based in Tajik cultures and traditions.

Tajikistan: Fun Time in Traveling

Every time I have the chance going in the capital of Tajikistan, Dushanbe; I used to have my proper meal in Southern Fried Chicken. Adding up with soda, potatoe fries and regular burger. The meal made my day with some Filipino friends.

Most of the time, I explore Dushanbe alone. Since I am the only person in my placement, I asked somebody to take my pictures. It was really a fun time to be on travel. Along the way, you can meet new local people and greeted you with smile. The adventure of riding a cable car, seeing the trademark of Somoni Monument in Rudaki Road brought excitement to my life.

Breastfeeding Day in PMPC

The PMPC in Kurgan Teppa celebrated the Breastfeeding Day last 5th of July 2011. It was my first time to celebrate with the health care provider of PMPC in outdoor. The mothers in the community were invited as a tribute for the said celebration. The venue was set in decorations in front the children's hospital.

I was surprised that the venue is similarly decorated like town fiesta in the Philippines. I felt like I am at home during the celebration. The people came and execute an impromtu to dance in the center.  Definitely, they pulled me to join and I was so flashing in red.

Party in the British Residence Tajikistan

Along the journey in Tajikistan, I was invited to a farewell party of our co-volunteer in the British Residence in Dushanbe. I was overwhelmed to join the other VSO volunteers, to spend the time with the Senator of Ireland last 17th of September 2010. Senator Fiona O’ Malley had the chance to visit the country as VSO volunteer.

It is a great thing to join the said venue; I haven’t seen the other volunteers since I arrived in Tajikistan. The party was successful, meeting the other nationalities and some Tajikistan officials. Among the most excitement caught my attention is getting acquainted with the first President Qahhor Mahkamov and the Vice-Chairman Lochin Faizulloev of Tajikistan.

The residence was filled of Tajik music as played in musical instruments in the corner. Some of the guest of the gathering had participated and shown with the traditional dance on the center of the floor. I might say I was also lucky to sign up my name on the guest book of the British Residence in Tajikistan. I am so proud to wear the national dress for men of the Philippines, the “Barong Tagalog”.

The First Snow in Tajikistan

For Filipino like me, it is a dream to experience the snow as commonly seen in the movies. In every film, the white Christmas had shown every month of December. Last 14th of January 2011, the first snowy feeling came to reality in Kurgan Teppa, Tajikistan.

The pouring of rain from the sky in winter season is the sign for the snow to come in the country. I ignored the cold weather and run straight forward in the people's park. Some local people feel so strange looking at me as I make Mr. Snowman. At the back of my mind, how I wish to share the overwhelming experience with my family.

In Dushanbe, I used to visit some Filipino friends whom I acquainted with. All of us had the feeling of excitement; taking turns to peek in veranda to witness the snow drizzled outside the flat.
